EMI教師培訓計畫主要是協助培育教師EMI專業技巧，計畫分為三個階級，分別是基礎、進階、以及高階。

以基礎培訓課程為例，教師必須參與8小時的講座或工作坊，參加跨校教師社群活動或國立中山大學辦理的教師社群共3場，接著還須執行一次15分鐘的教學演示，由EMI顧問教師給予回饋。完成該階所設計的培訓課程後，就會授與教師基礎培訓證明。除了實體的培訓講座或工作坊以外，教師也可循另一種培訓途徑，中心挑選當前適當的國際EMI線上培訓課程作為基礎課程，教師取得完課證明，並執行一次15分鐘教學演示，亦可獲得基礎培訓證書。

在進階培訓課程中，教師除須完成8小時的工作坊或講座，以及參與3場教師社群外，另須執行一節的教學觀課，基本上長度為一小時，完成後即可獲得進階培訓證書。另外，中心提供第二種培訓課程，若教師參加中心列入進階課程的國際EMI線上培訓課程，並取得完課證明，教師憑完課證明並且執行教學觀課一節課，即可獲得進階培訓證書。

高階培訓課程部份，除了參加兩場共計4小時的工作坊或講座外，也須參加3場教師社群，同時須擔任諮詢導師1次，諮詢導師的任務是提供執行教學演示或是教學觀課的同儕教師回饋服務，完成所有培訓活動後，即可獲得高階培訓證書。 同樣地，若教師參加中心列入高階課程的國際EMI線上培訓課程，並取得完課證明及執行一次15分鐘的教學演示或是教學觀課一節課，同時也擔任諮詢導師一次，完成以上培訓活動後，可獲得高階培訓證書。

說明：

1.EMI教師培訓計畫所提及的教師社群，總參與次數達3場，就滿足各階培訓課程要求。

2.以上基礎、進階以及高階培訓課程，並沒有參與順序的限制，教師可依興趣及需求報名參加。

EMI Professional Development Program is devised to help faculty members develop their professional skills in EMI. There are 3 levels in this program—Entry, Junior, and Senior. Each level has its corresponding abilities expected of an EMI instructor.

Take the Entry level as an example, the requirements include attendance of 8 hours of workshops, participation in 3 EMI teacher community gatherings, and conducting a 15-minute microteaching. EMI Mentors will provide feedback on teachers’ teaching practices. Teachers will be issued the entry-level certificate with completion of the above-mentioned requirements. In addition to in-person training courses, teachers have an alternative by choosing Entry-level international online EMI training courses. Teachers could obtain the Entry-level certificate by acquiring a proof of completion and perform a 15-minute microteaching.

In the junior level, the requirements include finishing 8 hours of workshops, attending EMI teacher community gathering for 3 times, and performing a 1-hour teaching demonstration. The junior-level certificate will be awarded upon completion of the requirements. Besides, a second option of the Junior level training is offered. If you participate in the international EMI online courses we offer for the Junior level, and conduct a 1-hour teaching demonstration, the Junior-level certificate will be issued.

In the senior level, the requirements include attending 2 workshops which amount to 4 hours, participation in EMI teacher community gathering for 3 times, and serving as a peer mentor. The mission of the peer mentor is to observe teachers’ teaching demonstration and give feedback. Another option of the senior level is provided as well. If you attend the international EMI online courses we provide for the Senior-level, perform a 15-minute microteaching or a 1-hour teaching demonstration, and serve as a peer mentor, the senior level certificate will be issued.

Notes:

1.It is worth noting that the attendance records of EMI teacher community gatherings apply to each level of the program. If you attend community gatherings for 3 times or above, each level’s requirement for attending community gatherings will be fulfilled.

2.Besides, it is not required to attend the training activities by the order of level, and you can participate based on your interests and needs.
